Delete Your Account and Data
How to permanently delete your Free.ai account, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
You can delete your Free.ai account at any time, from the website or from the Free.ai mobile app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
If you can sign in
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Account settings.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm.
In the Free.ai Android app, the same option is under Account. It opens this deletion flow.
If you cannot sign in
Email hello@free.ai from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm and delete it for you. No account is deleted on the say-so of a different address.
What is deleted
- Your email address, password hash, and profile settings.
- Your token balance and any remaining credits, which are forfeited.
- Your chat history, workspace files, and saved projects.
- Your generations: images, video, audio, and their share links.
- Your API keys, webhooks, and any scheduled tasks.
Chat workspace files and generation history are erased immediately. Everything else is purged within 30 days, including from backups as they rotate.
What we are required to keep
Payment records are retained where the law requires it, for tax and fraud-prevention audit. They are kept without your account details and are not used to contact you or to rebuild a profile. Server access logs containing IP addresses are retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention, then deleted.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your account cancels any active subscription and you will not be charged again. If you only want the billing to stop, you can cancel the subscription and keep your account.
